India is a huge country with great natural resources and beautiful places to see. In the north we have the Himalayas with beautiful mountain ranges that stretches from the north to the north eastern range from Kashmir where there are beautiful valleys and lakes with houseboats to north-eastern India with beautiful tea estates with row and rows of tea plantation with roads winding in between. The beautiful Taj Mahal, which is the symbol of love built by Shahjahan is built in Agra at the banks of river Yamuna a tributary of Ganges which is feed by the melting glaciers of Himalayas.
The central part of India is famous for beautiful forest, forts and palaces. The forest is the habitat for tigers and bisons. It would be a once in a life time opportunity to see tigers in the wild. Central India is also home for many beautiful forts and palaces. Some of the palaces have now been converted into luxury hotel where one could stay as a royalty and enjoy the royal luxury.
India is a peninsula, i.e., surrounded on three sides by water and on one side by land. On the western border of India we have Arabian sea where we have beautiful beach towns and cities like Mumbai, Goa and Cochin. The western India is where Gir forest is situated, which the home for Asiatic lion which were once roaming from Mediterranean to north-eastern part of India and now only found in India.
The eastern side of India is Bay Of Bengal and the fertile plain of West Bengal where the river Ganges form a rich delta is called the rice bowel of India and West Bengal and its surrounding region is the home for the royal bengal tiger. Down south on the eastern side of India we have the beach called marina, which is the second largest beach in the world after Miami.
The southern part of India is famous for its beautiful temples architecture. The Tanjore temple built in the 12 century stands testimony to the advancement in architecture during that time. South India is also famous for hill stations like Ooty, Coonoor, Kodaikanal, Munnar built by the British as a summer resort. South India also has lush green forests like Mudumalai, which has elephant and tiger habitat. The southern tip of India is Kanyakumari, which is the meeting place of the Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian ocean. India with its great vastness on the north from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on the south and from Gujarat on the west to Nagaland on the east offers a wide variety of places and culture to see and enjoy as a tourist destination.
